A good way to experience the natural world is a little way off the beaten track.  Karen spent two weeks in 1997 in the the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia studying the interaction of wildlife on this Earthwatch biodiversity project. The page includes a lesson plan for teachers who want to apply these experiences in their classroom.
