The Stair Passage |

he stair passage runs just outboard of the dining room, which extends into the upper deck because of its high ceiling. The lower staircase, more elegant than the utilitarian main stair, leads up from my vestibule between the library and the dining room. |

But just before us is the end of the "outboard passage". This is how Aronnax reached the staircase on Nemo’s guided tour and, through the watertight bulkhead, this is the next part of our tour. More to come... |
